S-SGT Fredrico Arnado, Honolulu, HI
S-SGT Arnado Platoon Leader of G Company, 2nd Marine Division was killed on March 7, 1967, while on a search and destroy at Quanq Nam. He picked up an enemy granade and took it to an empty field away from his troops to disarm it. He was preparing to throw a grenade at the enemy explosive when it detonated prematurely in his hand.
