Thank You

Dear PFC Lloyd Duncan,
Thank you for your service as a Medical Corpsman with the 1st Cavalry. Thank you for the lives you saved. Independence Day is approaching, and we remember your sacrifice. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Lloyd Alvan Duncan, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Your Photo For the Wall

We didn't know each other. I left Vietnam the first time in Sept. '67, but I met you through a friend of your father - William "Bud" Stutheit of Albany, Oregon, a member of American Legion Post 10. He came to the Linn County Veterans Memorial when we were hosting The Wall That Heals, and told me about you. He told me he would do his best at finding a photo of you for the Faces Never Forgotten Project. Today, he delivered on that promise, and gave me the photo which I have submitted. I know you registered for the draft in Albany, Oregon, received your draft notice while living in Wyoming, and that you are interred in the Custer Cemetery in South Dakota. You are not forgotten!
