do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You

Dear Sp5 Doyle Dunbar,
Thank you for your service as a Flight Qualified Huey, UH-1 Helicopter Repairer. Independence Day is approaching, and we remember your sacrifice. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

remembering DD

As I visit Washington DC with my grandson next week during the Memorial holiday, we met in Kansas before being deployed to Vietnam. Too many conflicts of war for men and women, FREEDOM IS NOT FREE is still true. We bunked together and had each other's backs. Hard to believe it has been so many years you have been gone. We had big dreams, only you never were able to achieve any of yours. I am the old man now. Blessings to all our veterans and current service men/women.
