One of a kind real Hero
I was a member of the CDHS band as a freshman the year that Tommy was a senior.
He was my mentor in band camp 8/64. I was crushed when I found out that Tommy
was KIA on 11/2/66. I went to his mother’s house for his wake and left being barely
able to breathe. To this day I do not forget him and never got over his death. He happens to buried next to my grandparents in same cemetery. During my non-profit career as the Director of Veterans Programs I honored Thomas by dedicating the very first federally sponsored labor and housing programs for homeless veterans with special needs in Philadelphia. For me Tommy left an indelible mark on my heart
that will keep him as part of who I am until the day the angel also comes for me.
