Fellow pilot
Phil and I were in the same OCS platoon at Quantico in the Fall of 1962...September 17 until we were commissioned in December. I remember him well from those days. He was a helicopter pilot, but I do not know the type he flew. I had heard he was shot down. We began flight school at the same time, January 1963. I ended up in the jet pipeline at NAS Kingsville, TX, and then went to fly A4E's out of MCAS Beaufort, SC. We were in Vietnam at the same time; I was with VMA-311.
