Marine Brothers
Richard and I started training on April 8, 1968 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Platoon 161. On June 3, 1968 we earned the title "U.S. Marine" and became brothers forever. Four other of our brothers from our platoon didn't make it home alive either.
Thank you for your service to our great nation, my brothers.

My father was Richard's sniper partner. He has carried this photo since 1969. We left a copy at the Wall in 1997 along with my Dad's service medals. I live in Washington, DC and stop by the Wall to see his name often. His death deeply affected my dad in, in many ways, our family too. Please know that you have been in our prayers all of these years.
