I Remember Walt Well
I first met Walt when I was 15 and he was 16. the last year before he went into the Marine Corps we would go downtown D.C. to "Coffee Houses" and listen to the music. He had a great smile and and a good sense of humor. I still miss him and always remember him on May 29th. I followed Walt to Vietnam three years later. Rest in Peace.

My Old Friend
I met Walt in ‘64 in Kensington when we were both in high school. He lived on Emily St a half-block away from our house on Woodson Ave. We kept up after I moved to Rockville in ‘65. I remember last meeting him in ‘67 after he came back from boot camp. He was a good guy with a level head, and a good friend.

Thank You
Dear Lcpl Walter Drosd,
Thank you for your service as a Multichannel Equipment Operator. Independence Day is approaching, and we remember your sacrifice. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
