do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Dear Uncle

Uncle Jimmy:

My name is Scott Drew, I'm the son of your youngest brother Robert. It's very regrettable that I didn't get to meet you or know you. I'm 31 with a 7 year old daughter named Dallas. I hope you're enjoying being in heaven with your mom and dad. Hopefully, when I reach heaven you and I will be able to sit down and talk and get to know one another. Until that day, I'll watch over your baby brother and keep him safe.

Love you Uncle Jimmy

Hey Jim. Long time has past since you left us. I still remember the first day we met at my home in St. Joe and you were visiting you cousin Steve. Say hi to Bullwinkle for us too. We miss you both.

A Charley company brother

Jim, when you were shot and Kia I know it left a void in 3rd platoon. I had already left the country when it happened. You are buried in white chapel cemetery which is just up the street from me. I will make it a priority to visit you as soon as I can.
