RIP- Barry Lee Armstrong
As I scrolled through the Virtual Wall, the date 2/2/1970 and the place Binh Thuan stood out to me. I never knew of you, but your name will forever stay with me, because my uncle, James Wesley Stewart also lost his life on this day and at this location. Perhaps you knew one another...Thanks for your service.

Rest in peace Barry
I never had the pleasure of meeting you. I was a close friend of your brother, Greg. I remember the day that you sacrificed your life for my freedom. Your family was heartbroken.
Thank you for your service.

thank you all for your kindness for my uncle
I never got to meet my uncle and I'm one of the last survivors and the baby of (4 siblings) in our armstrong family. I was born in 1983. My father (his brother and only sibling) had passed in 2002. It brought me to tears to not only receive this from a dear friend on my fathers birthday (today) but to thank all of you for your wonderful thoughts and blessings. I wish I could've met my uncle, and I'm so blessed to have gotten this page to read all your comments. My sister and I have alot of family history that was left to us, but we still would love to know. Thank you all so much.

RIP Barry
I was there the night we had your going away party, and remember os so well when your girlfriend and you were talking about getting married. You had wanted to do that before you left, she wanted you to have that to come home to. What was intended as a fun time was really very quiet and reserved. I was there the day we buried you at Oakdale. A beautiful setting for a very special young man. Welcome Home and Thank You for the ultimate sacrifice you made.
