Thank You

Dear PFC James Downs,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 12th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering our basic training.

My husband went to high school with Larry at Ardmore High School. Then they were both drafted into the US ARMY at the same time 1969 . They were both sent to Fort Benning Ga.where they went through basic training together . Mark was given a honorable discharged because of the hard-ship it was putting on the family trying to farm and run a dairy farm in which Mark did all the milking . . The boys were all sent to VIET-NAM and it really bothered Mark when he heard of the tragic loss of Larry . He was an outstanding young man in our community and is missed dearly .
