If I should die...remembrances for CAPT. Jack Paris DOVE, SR, USAF...who made the ultimate sacrifice
If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Capt Jack Dove
From 8/69 to 5/74 we were stationed at Griffiss AFB in Rome NY. In 1972 I bought a MIA bracelet from an officer's wife. It was for Capt Jack Dove. I keep that bracelet in my firesafe with every other valuable piece of information pertaining to my life. My father was a boom operator in the Air Force and we worried constantly when he was TDY. My brother was in the army at the same time and of course was over there too. They both always returned to us unharmed, thank God, however selfish that may be. I have always wondered about Capt Dove and I happened to catch 60 Minutes II tonite and thats how I discovered this site. My heart and prayers go out to Capt Dove's family.
