Cousin Tommy
Tommy was the son of my “Aunt” Dolores and Uncle Fred. Dolores was actually my mother’s cousin, but they lived together as sisters for part of their upbringing, Tommy was 7 years older than I, a big age difference as a young child. He was fun and exciting to be around. I remember his family’s visits to our home. Playing hide-and-seek in our basement, he hid me in the bottom of the laundry chute - exciting! I was 15 when he was killed and it made a big impact on me. I will never forget his mother’s overwhelming grief.

Uncle Tom "Dog" Dougher
Although we never met, you died one year before I was born, leaving such a large footprint on our family! Thank you to Stephen Saunders, who wrote "Breaking Squelch," which allowed my sisters and me to get to know you. It also made your sister, Margaret Jenkin, very proud of you! Your courage and bravery will forever touch our hearts!
