The "Friends of Rocky Versace" remember one of Rocky's fellow alumni from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Colonel George Stanton Dorman, USMA Class of 1946, U.S. Air Force, on what would've been his 98th birthday - 23 May 2022.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever…..

On this Thanksgiving Day I am so thankful of my service as 81 TFW Executive Officer repotting to Col. Dorman. As there was no Wing Vice Commander assigned at the time, our relationship was closer than normal. I am thankful each day for the lessons I learned from this great leader.

Dear Col George Dorman,
Thank you for your service as a Tactical Aircraft Pilot (Various,) and graduating from West Point. We remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
