Remember when you thru that smoke grenade on Hill 174 to bring the dust off. And we got rockets instead. The whole squad agreed that you were not allowed to ever throw another smoke grenade again. you taught me much of what needed to know when I joined your squad. I got my third purple heart the day you were killed at Con Thien. The fortunes of war are strange. Arki you are missed and will never be forgotten, semper fi.

I was in Boot CAMP WITH HIM AND LATER iTR, a really good guy. The Marine Corps promotes you one rank when you get killed, I can hear him now saying that he’d rather not have the promotion !
