Ranger John Donahue
I live near SGT Donahue's gravesite and I served in Company F/58th LRP, the predecessor of Company L/75th Ranger, same company different time frames.
I make it a point to visit and take care of the both of the gravesites, John and
his parents and it is an honor and a privilege.
Airborne.

honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You
Dear Ssgt John Donahue,
Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantry Operation & Intelligence Specialist. Your 48th anniversary just passed, sigh. May 30 was the original Memorial Day, and we remember all you who gave their all. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
