Fellow Medics

David, it has now been 40 years since your death. However, you are not forgotten.

I have heard your name so many times over the years. My husband, Anthony Piccioni, was with you on April 18 in that attack. You have never left his memory. Although I lost my husband in 2005, just a few weeks before his death he was at the Wall, with the 3/5 Cav remembering you and your fellow Cav members. Thank you for your service to make us free...and thank you for the lasting impression you made on a fellow Black Knight. If you ain't Cav...well you know the rest! God Bless You. (You and Anthony (Peach) are probably having a drink together and remembering good times!)

Reflection on the Wall

I saw your name and my reflection just above it. I remembered how as a drum major, you would lead our band at half time in Marshall, MO. I thought of the potential of a live lost as I stood there looking at the wall. I also would go on to serve my country as a Marine Officer during the Vietnam era, but I never paid the price that you did. I thought of a live that you did not get to live; not to marry or have children. Of a life cut down at age 19. May you rest in God's care David.

Fellow Soldier, Fellow Countryman

Brother Cav'r,
This is to let you know that you are remembered and your memory will live on as long as people remember that war sucks and should only be used to control people or countries that infringe on a person's right to exist.
Take care my fellow soldier, peace!
