Never knew you personally!

But I know your family. David (Lee) to me was a friend who told me about you. We hunted and fished together for years, showed me duck hunting around here!
Our mothers where great friends, she visited my mom often, even in her personal care home she was in. Her and Helen Gontz and my mom where always talking.
Heard about your service thru Lee, that you died trying to save your soldiers! See your plaque down at Scotland memorial park and would have loved to meet you. Always wondered what you were like. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SCARIFICE!

Scotland Boys

You are remembered often but always on Memorial Days, in May, this is your day and I thank you for your sacrifice, for all of us. I remember when we played soldier, back in the grave yard and you always took the hill. I salute you, rest in peace and I'll see ya when I get there.

Never Forgotten

Soon to be 50 years of missing you. Often wonder what life would have been like had you come home. I do the reunions of your old outfit alone and wish you were there. Am so proud of the man you were as I hear the stories from your brothers in arms and how highly you are thought of by these men. Because of you they accept me as family.
