We Will Remember
I had the honor to say your name during the 40th anniversary commemoration of the Wall. May you rest in peace.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Best friend growing up
Fifty years have passed since your 73rd birthday on May 25th. It was a few days after or before it that I last saw you introducing you to my fiancée who I was to marry that July 22nd. You had told me you were going back for your second tour in Vietnam which surprised me. You are a hero for sure who I will never forget.

Best friend growing up
John and I grew up a few blocks away from each other. We hung out together as kids and traveled to school together. The last time I saw him was some time in the spring of 1972 when he told me he could not be at my wedding in July of that year because he was going back to Viet Nam for his second tour. I vividly remember seeing his name announced in late June saying that was deceased. I think about him around his May 25th birthday each year. He always wanted to be in aviation so I wasn’t surprised when he joined. He was a great person and my best friend.
