My teammate and friend
We were teammates on the Menlo-Atherton football team in 1964.

Menlo Atherton Pride / Rememebrance
From one MA grad (and Atherton kid) to another, I would like to express my sincere gratitude/respect for your service to our country and giving the ultimate sacrifice. I am a US History HS teacher and have selected Menlo Atherton graduates who have served in Vietnam and did not come home. Perspective for my students and today's iPhone generation is important for the freedoms/quality of life they live today; driven home to me back in 1990 when I complained that my senior trip was cancelled to Acapulco, only to have my uncle explain/drive home the point: "Jon, my "senior trip" in 1968 was to Vietnam and two of my friends did not return." I was also in Vietnam/Quang Nam province back in 1994 under different circumstances and in Hoi An, I believe near where you gave your life for your brothers. Rest in Cpl. John Diggs and your name/sacrifice lives on in today's generation as my US History class remembers your duty/honour/life!
