Good friend!
David and I served together at Fort Benning in the NCO Academy on our way to Vietnam. David and lived fairly near each other, he in Ohio and I in Indiana. I was able to bring my car so anytime we could get a long weekend, David and I would head north. His family would meet us in Indianapolis and carry David the rest of the way home, as I went on to New Castle. I really liked David!
I served in the 4th Infantry when I got to Vietnam and have, with a couple of the men I served with, put up a website. David is one of three men I mention on the website who did not serve in our unit. Even though he and I didn't serve together in the same unit in The Nam, we certainly did serve together. I suspect David had a job similar to mine, so feel free to visit VietnamJC.com to see what that job was like.
Best to David and to all who loved him.
