He was loved!
A friend of Phil Jackson's, a fellow lieutenant in C/3/22, wrote to me of Phil's tragic death. The friend was John Beckett. John was killed about two weeks after Phil. John wrote of how Phil's 2 year old son wanted to buy his daddy a truck so he wouldn't have to walk so much. John thought of Phil as a good friend, and he grieved over his death. This remembrance is posted in honor of a father who gave his life.
