Always Remembered

Cousin Ron, it’s been 56 years since we got the call from your Mom about you being KIA. It was very hard to accept that news. After three years, I was drafted into the Army, but came home safe, but grown up and changed. Every time I see Vet license plate, bumper sticker or billboard with Viet Nam vet on it, I get a feeling of remembering you and all of the other Fallen Heroes. I feel a sense of pride knowing you and your service and sacrifice for our Country ! We are truly Brothers Forever ! You would be 75 now, I’m 72. I’m sure it won’t be long before we’re Home together . I pray for all the Fallen Vet on the battlefield and at home. See you later— Your Cousin, Sp/ 5 Del Pratt, Us Army 69-71

honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.
