We Will Remember

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank You

Dear Sgt Craig Devore,
Thank you service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Forever Thankful

Cuz, I still remember the last time we spoke, the conversation before you shipped out. It seems like yesterday, can't believe it was so many years ago. So sad that you missed so much, you died so young. But you always did put others before yourself. Proud to be your Cousin. I'm glad there are others who still remember you. Thank you is never enough.... fondly missing you still.

Still remembered

I never met Craig, but my father remembered his friend fondly. They grew up in Garfield together, and both of them served in Vietnam. When I was 9 we visited the Vietnam memorial in Washington DC and my father found Craig's name. We made a rubbing together, which my mother still has. My father passed away before the NJ memorial was completed, so I visited on my own to find my father's friend. Oddly enough I walked right up to his name before I had a chance to look up which panel he was on. I took it as a sign. Thank you for your service and I hope his family knows he is still remembered.
