Warrant Officer Richard Terrance Derosier was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as a Helicopter Pilot and was assigned to D TRP, 3RD SQDN, 5TH CAVALRY, 1ST AVIATION BDE.

Always think of Dick and Wheeler at this time. Was in the hospital I Hawii when we lost them. Will always have fond memories of flight school and it was an honor to serve with them.
