honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your niece Aretha is touching and reflects the anguish experienced by so many families who lost loved ones in this war. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us….

Thank You
Dear PFC Joe Demerson,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with the 1st Cavalry. Today is the 43rd anniversary of the Fall of Saigon. It has been too long, and it's about time for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering My Dear Uncle Joe Eddie...
Memorial Day means something personal to me. My uncle Joe Eddie was killed in the Vietnam War, March 21, 1969 when I was six years old, but I can remember that day as if it were yesterday. My heart sank when I heard my grandmother screaming, "No..No...No!", as she watched the news of the war unfold on the television. I remember a man from the Army coming to my grandmother's house to give my family the horrible news of my uncle's death.
I thank God for my uncle's bravery and sacrifice and I honor him and all those who have served, shed blood and died that we may live in freedom, united in hope and future peace. We salute and thank you most humbly with our love and prayers now and forever...May God's Grace hold you in His Loving Embrace for all times.
