Thank You

I never met you Victor . I was born in 1976 . You were engaged to my mother . I heard many stories about you , she loved you very much . I have visited your grave because we lived right up the street from the cemetery. I wanted to say thank you for your service. You are missed and loved.

do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

time

i met your family not long ago. your sister and i share the same wound. The loss held by a nine year old girl who longs to hold her big brothers hand once more. the longing to see your smile and hear your laughter in the warmth of our childhood home. so today i want you to know you are loved and missed everyday and you will never ever be forgotten. <3

my Friend

Vic, we went to high school together and we were friends. Your death was a shock and I visit your grave whenever I'm back in Manchester. You were a good, good man and you will be missed but more important, you will be remembered. Be at peace my friend.
