do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.

Classmate
Dennis and I were classmates in WORWAC 69-3 and flew together in B/227 1CAV. Dennis was one of the nice guys. A guy you would love to have as a neighbor, a good friend. My recollection is that Dennis was never comfortable as a slick pilot and wanted to shoot. He transfered to a test gun unit and that is where he died. Memories fade but I think he was married and if someone reads this who knows how to contact his widow I would like to pay my respects.
