Great Uncle Woodie,

I never got a chance to meet you, due to the circumstances of your service, but when 9/11 happened, I decided to follow in your footsteps and fight for this country also.
I had been told stories about you, and everyone was terrified of me going to war, because of what happened to you.
Its been 15 years now, since the last time I set foot in a foreign land, and I am sorry it took this long for me to stop by, but I wanted you to know that I thank you for your sacrifice, and hope that you and Poppa are up there shining down on us.
He miss you every day, but talked about you proudly!

Thank you for stepping up and answering your country's call. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice. Rest easy knowing you will never be forgotten.

It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness.
