honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died on your 19th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

WE WERE THERE, AT THE SAME TIME
I was in Vietnam, the same time as you. August 1967 November 1968, December 1969 November 1970. May 1970 to January 1971. I ask God to allow us to talk, and when I get to Heaven. I am William E. Dean, Junior.

July 4, 2021 a Day that every American should be thankful for our Freedoms and Liberty.
There are three days every year that I think of you and the rest of my friends that died in that convoy north of Pleiku.
1. Your Birthday March 13 - the day you lost your life in 1968 on your 19th Birthday.
2. The 4th of July, the day The United States of America became a free country.
3. Veterans Day
...but I see you many more times each year, your face just pops into my mind or in dreams and it pains me that you're gone. I wish you could've returned home alive and well, and able to pursue your dreams.
