Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Tom Agnello is poignant. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever…..

My big brother

I miss you every day even though it’s been over fifty four years since you were taken from us! I will never forget or forgive those that took you from us! And will never forgive the politicians of this country that put you and John there!!

Thank You

Dear Cpl Hank De Hommel,
Thank you for your service as a Mortarman. It has been too long, and it's important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Never Forgotten

As a young neighbor, will never forget the shock of seeing Hank's photo and story on the front page of the Grand Rapids Press. Or my dad, a WWII veteran who served in Germany, being devastated by the loss of our young neighbor. I recall upon learning of Hank's death my Dad falling to the ground in tears, screaming "when will it stop?" Unconsoleable. Hard to be believe it was 50 years ago today that you were taken...but you are not forgotten. Another Gold Star family gave me a book, Lee Greenwood's God Bless the U.S.A. When I opened the book, it had a photo of The Wall in D.C. -- and Hank's name was there. We continue to pray for you, Hank, your family and friends. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
