Son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony J. De Angelis, Brooklyn, NY.
Army (Selective Service) SP4 Infantryman
D CO, 2nd BN, 327th INFANTRY, 101st AIRBORNE DIVISION.
Killed while at a night defensive position when mistaken for a hostile force
and fired upon by a friendly force, Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.
Buried October 29, 1970.
Purple Heart.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Dominic.

LOOKING FOR VIETNAM VET RICK JOHNSTON???

My name is Roseann DeAngelis looking for a guy named Rick Johnston who apparently was the last one to see my brother Dominic DeAngelis before he left us back in 1970! We just stumbled upon this website to read a very informative & touching remembrance of my brother’s last minutes in Vietnam!
