Cannon tribute
I have only recently learned of your passing when I visited the Vietnam wall in D. C. We are having a Veterans parade on September 7, 2024 , and I will be laying a rose in your honor at a special ceremony the night before the parade at the Colombiana Fairgrounds in Lisbon, Ohio. I belong to a civil war reenacting group , and I will be firing my cannon in your name at our next event on Sept 27, 2024 at McConnells Mill, Pa. Thank you for your service. Fellow Vietnam Vet and distant cousin, Chuck Dazey USN

Bob Dylan
It is hard to believe that it has been 52 years. I was stationed with Tom at Ft. Erwin CA before we went to 'Nam by boat. Tom was truly an entertainer... just when you were feeling 'down' he would break out with his 'Bob Dylan' imitation...made EVERYBODY feel better! He liked to collect 'things' from the firing range... one day after training we saw him sitting on his foot locker and he had some kinda round 'thing' that was shiny; with hammer and screw driver in hand he pounding in this thing and it exploded! Not big explosion.... but it produced some foul smelling odor they ran us all of the barracks. I will always remember him and his guitar as Bob Dylan.
Thank you Tom

Bad memories
Thomas, i’ve thought of you and the other members of our unit who lost their lives that night. I pray you’ve spent these many years strolling the golden streets of Heaven. if that’s the case your much better off than those of us who made it back alive. I hope to see you when God calls me home. Thanks for your sacrifice.
