Thank you for everything

My grandpa talks about you a lot. You were his best friend. We went up to the replica in Clarksville, and he met your brother. They talked for a while. Thank you not only for your service, but for being a great friend. I’m still young, so I’ve never met you, but i’m sure you were a very good friend and a very good person. Thank you.

do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Never forgotten

You should have been walking across stage to get your diploma on the day that you were KIA. You gave your all for this country, and your sacrifice is not forgotten.

Semper Fidelis.
