THE WALL OF FACES

Dear Charles R Davis Jr
I would like to say that you, for serving the Vietnam War as a radio operator.
I would like to thank you for helping me have a safe and happy life in the United States. Even though you died young knowing that you might not make it back home I just wanted to take the time and say thank you.

I had the honor to say your name during the 40th anniversary commemoration of the Wall. May you rest in peace.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just eight days before your 35th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.
