Michael im just sitting here having a drink in your honor, and to all my fallen brothers and sisters the 1%, times are hard but not as hard as when you were over there in the shit, i to was in the shit as we called it, but you know that because you watched over me, i know this because i'm home and i felt your presence while on patrol, i feel that you guided me to my destination, i have two wonderful children that you would love, Haley Louise and Zachary Michael, yes he was named in honor of you, he now is following in the Abruzzese/a's legacy of the military, well just wanted to say hello its been a while.

Dear PFC Michael John Abruzzesa Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

Today is the birthday of America. II feel it is important to remember those who paid the ultimate price for this nation.

I am merely a student, an 8th grader at that. But I chose to come here and leave a remembrance for you. Although I do not know you, my heart goes out to you. You fought for the country that I now live in. A country that, thanks to you, I am very proud to be apart of. You gave your life for this country, and for that we are all nothing but grateful. I thank you for your courage, bravery, and your strength. Although you may not be here physically, your spirit lives on in the family that you have that is still here, and in those of us who remember all that you've done. I will not forget the sacrifice you, or any other solider have made. I thank you.

To my cousin Michael, I'm thinking of you more and more, you gave your life so others could live, it was time for you to go and meet our maker, i have no doubt that if you have lived you would have been a great man, I'm glad you are my cousin I'm sorry i haven't had time to hang out with you. your cousin Leonard
