Mom always speaks about. She never forgets your birthday. There’s so many albums and scrapbooks of you. It’s so amazing to have stumbled upon this and see all the kind words others have wrote for you. I went to visit you one time and found a quarter facing heads up. I thought it was a little peculiar so I looked it up and saw that it meant a fellow soldier left it. It also meant that soldier was there when you passed. It warmed my heart to know that you are still visited and loved by those you served with. I hope we get to meet one day. God bless you! We love you!!

We Served Together
I served with Gus for about six months with Marine Air Support Squadron 2 before he was transferred to Marine Aircraft Group 16. Gus was a good man and a good Marine.
Rest in Peace, Gus, and Semper Fi!
