honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Grandpa
Grandpa,
I never got to meet you...Dad never even got to meet you. Since I was a kid I always would ask to hear stories about you and ask what you were like. I've seen your name on the wall. When I joined the army I joined to put our name back in the army and make you proud. Every time taps plays I think of you and think to myself of how you laid down your life for this country and our family. I've been told people see you in me and I don't take that lightly and you laid your life down on patrol over fifty years ago. I hope I can be half the man you were and have the courage you had. I'm proud to be your grandson and to be called a Dance and a soldier just like you.
-your grandson Jacob Dance

Hero's in Heaven
Jack, You are truly a Hero, I just regret not getting a chance to know you before you were called to Heaven. Jack, please take good care of my brother/your nephew (Air Force-Desert Storm/Lt. Larry G. Dance-GPD 197) that also has been called to Heaven. You both are true Hero's that are missed very much!
