Still missing you

7yrs my senior, I, looked up to Alan, like my older brother, our families were very close growing up, most had already moved to the mainland, and we were the closest relatives. I remember when he left Guam, when he came home on R&R, and the dreaded day, when that black sedan pulled up to our house. Brother Alan, we still mourn your loss, we love and miss you. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
Love always, yan Adios,
Primo Dan Franquez

I remember Damian

We served together in 1st Batallion 26th Marines 2nd Platoon For some reason after all these years he comes to my mind. I remember we had a conversation the night before he would go on patrol for the last time. I don’t remember what we talked about but I do remember that his death affected many of us deeply. He was a great kid!

I remember Alan very well.

I saw Alan I think in 1966 as he was leaving for Vietnam. It has been 51 years and I could not recall his last name. Then, in talking with my younger sister figured it out. I am glad now I know and it is a relief to know that he is honored here.

May he rest in peace.
