Thank You from a Stranger

Dear James,

Thank you, Sir, for your service, your bravery, and for all that you had given up to protect our country. I didn't know you personally, but I was searching online and came across your name, and I stopped when I read the description as my brother also shares your name. It is hard to look at your handsome, smiling face and know that war took you from this earth. May you continue to protect us from above.

Thank You

Dear Sp5 James Daly,
Thank you for your service as a Personnel Specialist. You were born on my dad's birthday. Say hi to him, his name is Sam. Easter is coming up. Happy Easter. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Cam Ranh Bay friend

Jim was a good friend and bunked next to me for several months before he was injured and medivaced to Japan when we were informed that he died from his injuries. The picture was taken by me at the hospital in Cam Ranh Bay shortly before he left Vietnam. I have always regretted not having the opportunity to continue our friendship after our tour of duty.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP5 James Joseph Daly, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
