Remembering Michael Cutri
In my nephew's rest time, he wrote poetry. This one is on his gravestone:
War
It is a word that should be to diificult to pronounce,
It is a place that should be hidden so it can never be found,
It is a thing so ugly that it should be kept in the dark,
It is an idea that should have never become real,
It is my keeper.
Michael was only in Vietnam for three months. I remember him.

SO YOUNG, YOUR SACRIFICE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN THANK YOU FELLOW SOLDIER WE WERE ALL YOUNG BACK IN 68 NOW AS WE GROW OLD ITS IS OUR DUTY TO TELL OTHERS OF THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICES YOUNG MEN LIKE YOU MADE DURING THE VIETNAM WAR
