Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Uncle Peanut and All Veterans,
Thank you for your SERVICE to keep us all FREE. I realized I made a mistake when I was remembering my Uncle on Veterans Day. When I spoke of our President talking for Peace for SV I meant South Korea. My husband who is a Vietman Vet said it didn't matter because both NK and NV invaded their brothers, SK and SV and peace still needs to come to all. But if I make a mistake I have to correct it.

My Dear Uncle Peanut
This is the 4 time I write this. Just 4 times more love if all 4 show up out of cyberspace. One of the last times I saw you, you flew into Brookley AFB, Mobile, AL. I was about 11. You took me to see your plane and spent the day with me. I was so proud when guys saluted you. You did not like it, because you said you weren't superior to anyone. I have the last letter you wrote me from Vietnam. You say you are glad to be helping the SV people, so the war does not come to the USA and hurt your kids. They were hurt in other ways like many others. You were so young at 39. Most don't know you flew as a "Blue Angel" for the TV show in the 50-60'S called "The Blue Angels".. You weren't a Blue Angel, but flew as one for TV. I was young and don't remember the show, except what Mama and Aunt Dot told me. 15 years to the day we had our 1st child on July 25, 1981.. Aunt Dot said it was now a happier day to remember on that date. I miss, love, and honor you on this Veterans Day. We now have a President who has had talks with NV and maybe peace will come soon for the SV and the rest of the world. Your loving niece, Velda Jo.
