Red is "The Martyr's Color"

Jack...I was looking up the Coat of Arms for the Cullinan(e) which as you knew has their roots deep in Ireland. There are four major components, the colors white and red, a hand and a stag. The color white denotes Peace and Sincerity; the color red is "The Martyr's Color" and signifies "Military Fortitude and Magnanimity." The hand is the symbol of Faith, Sincerity and Justice, while the stag represents Peace, Policy and Harmony. I can see where every component was represented in your life and the supreme sacrifice that you gave to your country. As your classmates read your name at each of our reunions, we remember that each of our classmates is bathed in "The Martyr's Color." Semper Fidelis!
