do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
As long as you are remembered you will never die....
I am not there; I do not sleep.

Old Friends
Eddie, stopped by the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall while it was in Florida to pay my respects. I remember all the good times that you, myself, David O’Dowd and Jimmy Moore had from Camp Geiger out to arty school at Pendleton. I was so saddened to hear about you. We were all just kids. Semper Fi and Rest In Peace my friend.
