Uncle Jimmy
I have a very vague memory of Uncle Jimmy giving me a shoulder ride and how high off the ground I felt looking down on the family. Uncle Jimmy has been looking down over us and as one of the few veterans in the family, his presence and memory will always be cherished. We thank God for the blood of Heroes!

Dear PFC James Crook,
Thank you for your service as a Medical Corpsman. Thank you for the lives you saved. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Honor and Remember
You are honored and remembered on the Heartland Youth for Decency Vietnam Memorial. The Vietnam Memorial was built by a group of high school and college students from the La Mesa area called Heartland Youth for Decency back in 1970. The memorial park is dedicated to veterans who were living in Southern California's Heartland area (consisting of the communities of La Mesa, Spring Valley, Jamul, Lemon Grove, El Cajon, Santee, and Lakeside) when they accepted the call to military service, during which service they gave their lives in the Vietnam War.
