THE WALL OF FACES

Thank you to your family for sharing your and their story. It put a face to all the suffering families endured during that time. Your sacrifice has not been forgotten by the brothers you served with. Someday we will all be together.

I've been watching the new Ken Burns series on the Vietnam War. Much of the episode 3 consists of interviews with PFC Denton's family about Denton and his desire to join the Army to fight the spread of communism in Vietnam. You are not forgotten.

To thank you for your service will never be enough, but I do thank you and I thank your family for sharing their memories; memories similar to my own. My brother served with the US Marine Corp. and was killed in action on May 5, 1968 in Vietnam. My family also discouraged his enlistment but his argument was the same as Mogie's.....patriotic belief in wanting to personally contribute to America. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him, and miss him. I now will think about Mogie as well, and those thousands whose lives were lost in Vietnam. RIP and honor to them all.

Your selfless sacrifice is an example and a lesson to the generations that follow you. May your family remain proud of this legacy as a precious treasure. May God bless you.
