honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

52 years on: Call for Phillip Maaarvin!
Dammit Crews you were my heart. I queried your name because I'm still missing you and reliving our last meal, Cs on the side of a hill, dropping off just there to give a wide view of the jungle valley. Ah, we used to alternate warming up C ration breakfasts for each other. You were point that day and not five minutes from the call to move out ("Later" you said) you took a bullet through the head.
Grown men do cry.
Grown men do cry.
