Memorial Day Remembrance
Charles andI served together in Vietnam in 1970. He was a great guy and an outstanding helicopter pilot and aircraft commander. He was devoted to serving his country and lost his life while trying to help others during a night flare mission in inclement weather. I still miss him to this day. He will long be remembered for our friendship and service to our country.

Knew Charlie since 7th grade when they moved to the Edison district
Even as a teen, Charlie was a good man. The best. He was short in HS but 'played' basketball. He sat on the bench almost all year. In the Hobart game, we were on the way to 100 which is tough in 32min. Charlie got in made the most. On two breakaways, he drove and got fouled so severely that with 2-pointers, he had two 4-point plays in the game. Charlie always gave his all especially to others. Sam who wrote before me is now gone too, I believe. Sam was great too.
