THE WALL OF FACES

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank you for your service in the Vietnam War. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Hopefully one day I will be able to shake your hand and thank you for your sacrifice personally when I reach Heaven as well. Until then, I hope this message reaches your courageous soul. You will be remembered. Rest with the angels, your work is done.

Though you were older than me by many years and my memory of you is mostly of your passing, I'm grateful for your service and sacrifice for God and Country and your most honorable representation of our Crawford Family Name.
