thank you
As a fellow American I would like to express my foremost gratitude to your profound sacrifice towards the service of America. I am a high school student in Gridley, Illinois, and am doing a project on the virtual wall. I have the greatest respect for soldiers such as you, who fight for the cause of others. Your selfless acts will never be forgotten by Americans.

"It wasn't for nothing"
A statement you made to someone whom I can't recall at present. "I Hope This Is Not For Nothing"
I just need to say today on Memorial Day 2001 that I well remember Ronnie the sacrifices you made for our country and although you died in combat for our beautiful country it was not in vain. I am so proud of your accomplishments in service for our country. You were then my hero at the age of twenty one and myself fourteen. Yet I never forgot and although time has helped with the pain of your loss you are still my hero and your sister proudly lives in the United States Of America land of the free and home of the brave. Your bravery and sacrifice for our country is a strength for myself and others to stand proudly for a free country. So your fight in an unknown land was not for nothing brother.
With Love,
On this Memorial Day 2001
Your sis,
Jane Lane
