Home Town

I grew up in the same home town of Roanoke Rapids, but I was only five years old when Dennis was killed. I remember the funeral because it was such a sad event and a large number of people in the town attended. Although I was too young to know Dennis I will always feel like he was a hero to many of us that grew up in Roanoke Rapids.

Remembering Dennis

Dennis and i went to the same school in Roanoke Rapids NC. After his death, his wife Sherry and i worked together and spent alot of time together. His little son, Denny, probably doesn't remember his dad but he can be proud of him. He gave his life for the USA. Sherry talked about him all the time but she and Denny made it, as hard as it was. I saw firsthand how much she loved and missed Dennis- forever.
